Great for: Shrubs, climbers, grasses and perennials such as Mahonia, New Zealand flax. Moisture-loving trees such as Willow, Birch, Dogwood and Cypress do well in silty soils. Most vegetable and fruit crops thrive in silty soils which have adequate adequate drainage.

Absolutely not.” Divining the inner life of animals is notoriously elusive, but scientists like Professor von Keyserlingk have created experiments that seek to quantify bovine desires and ascertain whether some farming practices lead to poorer health and subpar milk production.

Ammonium phosphates and super phosphates should not be mixed with lime, slag, rock phosphate or CAN. Potassium chloride and sulfate of potash can be mixed with most fertilizers, but mixtures of these fertilizers with ure and  calcium ammonium nitrate should not be stored.

Many organic materials serve as both fertilizers and soil conditioners; they feed both soils and plants. Microbial biomass was often greater in organic than conventionally managed soils. Organic fertilizers are carbon-based compounds that increase the productivity and growth quality of plants.
