All herbs act pharmacologically in a way different from the pure chemical entities. One can validate the point by taking Caffeine equivalent to 4 cups of Tea one day and 4 cups of same concentration Tea the next day. May be even 6 to 8 cups. One would realize the difference.
So please extract the Green Tea with simple warm water.
Or else Extract it exhaustively in succession with polar (Water, Ethanol) to non-polar (Chloroform etc.) solvents. After evirating the solvents, mix the power / semisolid extracts. One would get the real broad spectrum results in all pharmacological / chemical / instrumental studies.
