I just attended the conference on this. The fact is that 52% of food waste in developed countries in made by households. I would suggest some social marketing strategies to raise the awareness of problem and make people behave responsible.

1. Change our habit
2. Eat as much as you can but keep your food aside before you start. So that it can be used again.
3. one of that use a food bank to serve it around the city.
4. Use law and enforcement for food waste.
Technical way. Already started with Asia that some companies (NGO) they took food from the hotel and serve the street people or needy persons.
Food management system, reverse food management system, and Blockchain food traceability.
