    To determine the fertilizer needs, field experiments should be conducted for each crop at the site to be grown to find the most suitable fertilizer curriculum for it.

    Recommended dose of fertilizers are always crop specific and site specific. Many experiments under STCR programmed throughout India have proven the site specific and crop specific nutrient management. Still we always discuss that till how many years recommended dose is applicable which is really a discussion point.

    There is no any hard and fast rule to define , how long recommended doses of fertilizers is effective in terms of cropping seasons, since such exercises are wholly soil and crop specific , besides the yield levels obtained annually to be factually defined through soil test -crop response studies….
