Machines high specialized in the bed forming process for the horticultural sector, which we advise to use in not very stony soil. Bed former series are projected with a front deep tilling rotor fitted with knives and a rear counter rotating rotor, which crumble and shapes the bed. The series include single, double, triple, fixed as well as folding machine available in various working widths (90-600 cm) and suitable for from 40 to 400 HP tractors. Effective soil refinement at various working depth, high forwarding speed, high work performance with very damp soil: here some benefits of our Bed formers.

Planting in beds is not a new concept, it has been around for many years. Bed forming is seen as a way to build a protected, well-drained area in which to grow the crop, providing improved drainage and even germination.

Years of development have gone into designing a single rotor Bedformer that will allow growers to achieve a ‘bed’ of consistent quality and uniformity on medium to light land or de-stoned land. Jones Engineering Bedformers are fitted with special ‘no panning’ blades to create a fine tilth without smearing. Soil is held in the machine by a specially developed adjustable hood, which ensures that soil is distributed evenly across the whole of the bed, followed by a crumbler roller to prevent capping.
