Mixed cropping is a system in which multiple crops are grown in a single field at the same time. This is beneficial to farmers as the space is saved and cultivating multiple crops in a single field might ripen at different seasons and provides a wealth of environmental benefits.

mixed cropping is a type of farming in which more than one kind of crops are grown on a single piece of land. by this the amount of one type of mineral does not get depleted thereby helping the farmer by having a good yield without the use of fertilizers.

The mixed cropping is a process of polyculture of crops in the same agriculture field. This is also known as co-cultivation.
This process involves the planting of two or more plants of different species simultaneously in the same field.
The following are the advantages of mixed cropping and helps a farmer:
1. The crops can be grown with the more productivity with the less input.
2. This cropping method does not require fertilizers and manure as the growth of multiple crops fulfills the mineral content of the soil thus increases the fertility of the soil.
3. This method of agriculture yields more crops as compared to the monoculture.
