What is the function of mouldboard Plough?

Plow, also spelled plough, most important agricultural implement since the beginning of history, used to turn and break up soil, to bury crop residues, and to help control weeds. The antecedent of the plow is the prehistoric digging stick.

The most important plough for primary tillage in canal irrigated or heavy rain areas where too much weeds grow. The objective for ploughing with a Mould Board is to completely invert and pulverize the soil up-root all weeds, trash and crop residues and bury them under the soil.

Mouldboard – The mouldboard is that part of the plough which receives the furrow slice from the share. If lifts, turns and breaks the furrow slice. To suit different soil conditions and crop requirements, mouldboard has been designed in different shapes.
