Set your spreader so that it’s ¾ open when engaged. If, for example, the spreader is calibrated 1 to 20, set it at 15. Place eight pounds of Morganite into the spreader’s hopper. This is about one-fifth bag, or 8 lbs., of Morganite, which is equivalent to 24 cups.

Spreader Not Listed – Setting Tip: Set spreader at 1/4 to 1/3 of the dial as a starting point. This is just a guide always calibrate spreader per the manufactures recommendation. Do not over apply fertilizer.

If it is a Scotts basic broadcast spreader, the number represents the number of pounds of fertilizer placed over 1000 sift. For application using a pushed broadcast spreader, Scotts recommends a setting of 5 1/2 when overseeing and a bare-lawn setting of 8 1/4.
